What Am I In For?
Imagine if you had a family member who had all the tools, experience, and availability to help you out.
What would you ask them for?
How it Works
When you make a request, here’s where it goes…
1. Your request is added to the full list of requests
Your request is added to a big list of everyone else’s requests.
When trusted volunteers log in they’ll see the full list of requests, organized by (a) how close they live, and (b) if the request is something they’re good at.
When volunteers view this list they can’t see your address or contact information (just your name, photo, approximate distance from them, and the request itself).
2. Volunteers can claim a request, which notifies you
Once a volunteer finds a request they can help with, they can “claim” the request.
This will notify you and put you in touch with the volunteer.
3. If you're comfortable, you can proceed
If you feel comfortable with the volunteer, you can proceed (otherwise, you can decline and repost your request).
Using the in-app messaging, you can arrange time, location, and details. No need to share your phone number or email address.
4. The volunteer helps you
The volunteer will come at the time and place you arranged and help you with whatever you needed!
After you’ve been helped, you can still contact the volunteer using the in-app messaging.
5. Make another request
If you need something else in the future, just submit a new request and a new volunteer will claim it. (The platform will support one request from you at a time).
Who Are These People?
All of the volunteers within the platform are attendees of trusted local churches.
Amplify Community found out that churches were looking for better ways to help their surrounding communities - so we decided to give them that opportunity. Every church who signs up for Amplify Community has agreed to the mission and purpose of Amplify Community - to serve others.

If you just need help, they will help - no strings attached.
If you ask them not to talk about faith, they will respect that.
And if you ask them about faith… that’s on you.😉
Why Are They Doing This?
Churches are kind of like big big families - some are formal and business-like, some are loud, some are awkward and fun, some are like you - but all of them have a support network built in. When someone has a baby, people drop off a few meals to help out; when someone moves, there’s people to load the truck; when someone is in the hospital, everyone comes together to support that family.
The churches using Amplify Community have decided they want to extend their church family out into the community, and offer that support to the people outside their walls.
Everyone needs a support network. We hope Amplify Community can give that to you.
